Colton is 1 month old!

Our little man is 1 month old! Time sure does fly by. He is growing like a weed! Gained almost 3 pounds and 3 inches already.

Colton's 1 month stats

We have been busy having fun with our little kiddos and watching them be their adorable selves. Here are a couple pics from this past week. Enjoy!

This is what happens when Daddy does bath time!

We will be in Detroit for the Fourth of July weekend. Colton will be Baptised at St. Clement following the noon mass on Sunday, July 4th. We'll have a small reception following that at my parents house. Please feel free to come celebrate with us and meet our Little Man! Just call or email me if you need more information.

Our Little "Annie"

Clara has become quite enthralled with "Annie". She loves it! We watch it a couple times each week. And, by watching, I mean zip forward to all the fun musical parts. Clara sings and dances with the scenes; it's great! She has taken to singing "Tomorrow" and we caught her on video yesterday morning singing to Colton. It was so sweet!

Our Little Look-a-Likes

We have noticed for a couple weeks now how much Colton looks like Clara when she was a newborn. It's very curious to us how they can look so much alike but yet at the same time they don't. When Clara was born she was the spitting image of Aaron. Colton resembles Aaron, but not in the exact way Clara did. Yet, if you compare these two pictures the resemblance is pretty close.

So Much to Do, So Little Time to Blog

Life has been busy and fun for our family since I last posted an update. Here's a quick recap with some pics to share in our fun.

Last Saturday we had some friends over for a little cookout and they helped celebrate my birthday with Aaron, Clara, Colton and me. The kids played in the pool and sprinkler and the grown-ups got to relax on a beautiful day and enjoy some good food.

Here are Nick (my cousin's son) and Clara deciding whether or not to run through the sprinkler. They eventually did while holding hands and laughing all the way!
Miss Clara taking a juice break from the fun.

This past week we spent Monday at Freeman Lake which is a nice park in Elizabethtown. We played, fed the geese, and had little picnic before heading home for a nap - for all 4 of us!

Giddy up dinohorsie! Colton chillin' at the park Clara getting up close and personal with the very friendly & hungry geese

On Tuesday we ventured up to Louisville with Michelle, Nick and Hailey to visit the zoo. The highlight for Clara was the little petting farm where she got to pet a bunch of goats. She kept asking to go back!

We have enjoyed our time together and are sad that Aaron has to return to work tomorrow. He'll be at Ft. Riley in Kansas for the week so Clara, Colton and I will be getting some quality time together.

Until next time, xoxoxox

Dr. Clara

Greetings from Kentucky! We are settling into a nice little routine with our little man and big sister. There have been a few rough patches but it feels like things are settling down. This morning Miss Clara and I ventured out into the humidity to weed our vegetable garden. It's growing so well! She was actually quite interested and helpful when it came to raking and pulling the weeds between the rows of plants. She is so proud of and excited about her sunflowers; she wanted to take her picture by them.

Here's a recent pic of "Dr. Clara" giving Colton a check-up during tummy time the other day. A toy doctor kit is her new favorite toy. It's actually my old doctor set that I got as a present when Keri was born/for my 3rd birthday. Grandma cleaned it all up like new and now it's been passed off to the new big sister. She loves listening to our hearts, looking in our ears, checking our blood pressure, poking us with the syringe to give us medicine and checking our temperatures. And, naturally, Clara thinks Colton is the perfect little patient!

The OT in me needs to point out that this little man LOVES his tummy and can't get enough tummy time! If the medical world didn't have me so freaked out with the whole "back to sleep" thing I'd let this guy sleep on his stomach like most of us did as infants. He sleeps on our chests all the time on his belly and loves playing on his tummy on the floor. He's already lifting and turning his head from side to side and rolling to his side.

That's it for now. We are relaxing and enjoying our time together before Aaron goes back to work on June 14 and I'm sure we'll have more updates before then.
