Happy 2nd Birthday Clara!

She's two, she two! Our baby girl is getting soooooo big! Miss Clara had a great weekend, well, at least it seems like she did and we all certainly had a great time. Her actual birthday on Friday was kind of low key. She wanted cereal for breakfast, we played in the morning and had her 24 month check up. Clara is now 26 pounds and 35 inches tall. She's in the top 20% for height and about 50% for weight; a nice slim, tall gal as the doctor said. After nap time came the fun job of opening "special presents" as Clara calls them. She loves ripping the paper! Her favorites were the high-chair for her baby dolls from Auntie Keri and Uncle J and the new doll from mommy and daddy. Clara absolutely loves taking care of her dolls, feeding them, changing them, cooking for them, putting them to bed, washing them, anything we do with her she does with her babies. Maybe this is a nice sign of how good of a big sister she'll be.

Playing "mommy"
We went out to dinner with Grandma and Papa and then came back home and sang "Happy Birthday" and ate cupcakes for dessert. Grandma and Papa handled bath time and bed time so that Aaron and I could have a much needed "date night". We went to see the movie "Valentine's Day" and had nice time. It was so nice to get out, just the two of us. It's sounds simple, but my favorite part of the night was getting to hold hands while we walked! Whenever we go out we have Clara with us and we are always holding her hands and not each other's.

Are you guys singing to me?

Mmmm! Good stuff!

Clara's birthday party was Saturday afternoon. It was so nice! We had some family, we had some friends, and we all had a great time. Here are some some pics and short video clips of the party.

I could get use to all this attention!

Today Clara and I are having a quiet, lazy Valentine's Day. Aaron is on CQ today/tonight. That means he has to stay at the barracks on post and babysit the soldiers from 8am today til 8am tomorrow. Aaahhh! The joys of having a responsible Sergent for a husband. So much for the nice 4-day weekend everyone else gets.

Miss Clara is waking up from her nap, so I'd better go get her. If any of you got emails saying there were new posts but they were actually old posts that contained videos, I'm sorry about that. I had to re-post those particular one's because the video uploads had a glitch and needed to be reset; so they now work again.

Happy Valentine's Day!
